Local florist and stylist Rebecca Krog-Osborne is the third-generation owner of Toowoomba institution Dawn Osborne Florist. Located at St Vincent’s Hospital, Bec also delivers her stunning arrangements all over town and is frequently in demand for weddings and special events, as well as in corporate offices. Bec is also well-known and loved for Poppies for Willow, her event styling business, which perhaps explains how everything she touches turns to gold.

The lovely Kimberley Findlay is known for her bouquets and installations using romantic pastels mixed with Australian natives (you may remember her from this article). There’s something a little wild about Kimmy’s style, but oh so beautiful and feminine. Look for the unexpected, thoughtful details, such as the poppy pods in the above arrangement. Kimmy works on-demand, not from a shopfront, so get in touch with her directly to make an order.

Known for her clever posy-of-the-day system, Emily Richardson disrupted the local florist industry with her affordable arrangements (which start at $30, including delivery). With her ecommerce system, you can pre-order a bouquet for a certain date or wait until the morning of to see the daily style. You can also organise for the flowers to arrive in a vase – this beautiful Valentine’s Day special is arranged into a stunning ceramic bowl, which you get to keep!

After spending 25 years as a visual merchandiser, Cherie Zimmerle retrained as a florist. Her boutique studio in the Australian Arcade is, unsurprisingly, a joy to visit, full of delightful vintage details and local craftsmanship. Cherie’s floristry is utterly unique, often packaged up into customised hampers that add to the experience (such as a bottle of florally-minded wine, as above). Incidentally, everything is proudly vegan too, if that is important to your recipient.

All of the staff at Toowoomba Flower Market are qualified florists, ensuring you can get guidance as you shop as well as a whole range of different floristry styles. You can order a bouquet online, buy a custom arrangement on-site according to what is available that day, or even shop for individual stems to create your own arrangement (although if their work looks like this, why bother trying to make your own?).
