PHOTOGRAPHERS
We take great pride in our imagery at The Field Guide. We’re always looking for talented photographers to capture the city’s spirit. Shoots could involve new cafes, restaurants and shops, art exhibitions, events and portraits.

A link to your portfolio, or samples of your work
Your Instagram handle
Details about the sort of work you’d like to shoot
We’ll send you through our style guide and terms for you to consider.
WRITERS
Please send pitches to sam@thefieldguidetoowoomba.com.
Each pitch should outline:
your story idea
why you think it will work for TFG’s audience
your potential interview subjects
and how quickly you could turn it around.
Pitches should be no more than 200 words. Please include a link to your portfolio, or samples of your work.
INTERNS
The Field Guide runs a small editorial internship program. If you'd like to work with an experienced writer and gain an insight into 21st century media, we'd love to hear from you. Apply to Editor Sam Kirby at sam@thefieldguidetoowoomba.com and make sure to include:
A short letter of introduction
Your resume
One or two relevant writing samples
Two brief news or feature pitches, and an explanation of why they would be a good fit for TFG
One pitch for an existing cafe, restaurant, bar or shop we haven’t covered yet
Your availability and, if you’re studying, if you’d like to do an internship for coursework
GIVEAWAYS & COMPETITIONS
We’re always looking to work with local businesses on giveaways to our readers. If you’d like to donate something to be used as a competition prize, please email info@thefieldguidetoowoomba.com with a description of the prize and a sentence or two on why you think our readers would love it.
