Queensland to a T dishes the dirt on the qualities that made tea towels desirable Queenslandiana and how we see them now. Featuring 100 tea towels from the State Library of Queensland's Glenn R. Cooke Souvenir Textile Collection, this is a unique look into Queensland’s culture and identity.

Furari Flores is a multisensory arts experience exploring the wonder of plants by local artist Cara-Ann Simpson. Enter a world of multisensory botanical magic and join the artist on a journey of deep listening, Earth admiration and plant love.

Ornamental/Elemental: Exhibition
10 January - 04 February
Ornamental/Elemental features works that play with the structure and poetics of ornamentation. Ornamentation and decoration were famously derided as superfluous additions to otherwise pure form by Austrian modernist architect Adolf Loos in his essay ‘Ornament and Crime’ (1913). This essay influenced modernist and minimalist approaches to making art in the 20th century.

Legends of British rock, Dire Straits have sold over 120 million albums worldwide. Today Dire Straits Legacy bring back their iconic music, performed by musicians who recorded and toured with Dire Straits, over 30 years ago. Drawing from six platinum albums, DSL’s incredible live show features all of the classic Dire Straits hits including Money for Nothing, Sultans of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Walk of Life, Brothers in Arms, Tunnel of Love, and many more.

Children and families can take part in a range of fun art-making activities by contemporary Australian artist Natalya Hughes when ‘The Castle of Tarragindi on Tour’ comes to Toowoomba Region's Art Galleries.
Developed in collaboration with the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), ‘The Castle of Tarragindi on Tour’ invites audiences to create their own digital hybrid creature, decorate and assemble a 3D object, make elaborate patterns using printed paper, and take part in self-portrait drawing activities.
