Clean-up efforts following January’s severe storm have been long and challenging for a handful of inner-city venues. Fortunately, the doors to most businesses have begun reopening, much to the pleasure of owners and guests alike.
And for eccentric party house Bodega, it means their popular line-up of live music can finally return to the stage after several weeks of uncertainty.
Bodega was forced to close to repair not only a damaged floor and roof, but also undergo a complete replacement of the high-tech sound equipment that allows local musicians to perform live week in and out. But to celebrate the long-awaited return, the New York-meets-Mexico influenced bar will be hosting live gigs every night this weekend, including modern rock cover band Blah Blah Blah taking the stage on an opening night that’s sure to get many on the dance floor.
The weekly Musical Bingo game, held every Wednesday night, will also make a comeback, and there’ll be a brand new cocktail menu on offer.
