Toowoomba icon The Spotted Cow will soon reopen under new ownership after being closed for the majority of this year.

Now owned by the Hallmark Group, The Cow is set to continue its classic pub eats, TAB gaming, live sport and entertainment – but with a renovated interior and a new, modern menu.

Hallmark Group Director, Scott Hempel said that steak will be a star offering, “thanks to our new dry-age cabinet, where we’ll be storing and dry-ageing our beef – we will also have an impressive floating wood fire grill.”

The Hallmark Group told TFG that the venue was set to open late October “at the earliest” – so let’s just say “before Christmas”.

The Spotted Cow has a 30-year history at the site, which was originally licensed in 1892 as a tannery before becoming first known as the Sovereign Hotel, then The Luckona, before The Spotted Cow in 1990.
