They’re sweet-smelling soaps, handmade with love all for a good cause. Recently launched local business Hope Shop offers a collection of indulgent bars that aim to not only keep you clean, but also help you do your part for the community in a simple way.
The enterprise was launched this month by local Lauren Russell, a project manager who’s now using her business skills to uplift charities in need. The online shop’s debut range is in support of Hope Horizons, Toowoomba's first cancer wellness centre.
Hope Horizons has offered high-quality specialist allied health services to assist cancer patients, as well as their families and carers, since 2017. 100% of profits from the sale of these soaps go directly to the cause, ensuring patients, as well as centre staff, can continue to get the care and support they need.
There are four signature soaps that come in each lovingly packed hamper: Make it a Great Year, Macadamia; Have Another Go, Avocado; Things Will Be Good, Rum & Wood; and Over the Hurdle, Lemon Myrtle. Each batch is handmade right here in Toowoomba, and is vegan-friendly using quality ingredients.
Hope Shop plans to launch new bath and home products in future, to continue to support additional local charities who need a helping hand. The perfect little something to gift a friend in iso.
