Run With Dad

Where: Toowoomba Grammar School, 24 Margaret Street, Toowoomba
When: 7.00am-10.00am
Cost: $20 per adult, $10 per child, children 3 and under free.

With a 5km course and barbecue breakfast, enjoy the perfect opportunity to run or walk with dad, family or friends, reminding them of the importance of their health and wellbeing. All proceeds will go towards the It’s A Bloke Thing Foundation, with funds invested in programs benefitting local men affected by prostate cancer.

NERF CHALLENGE AT GRAND CENTRAL

Where: Grand Central’s Central Square (outside Vapiano)
When: Thursday, 2 September – Saturday, 4 September

Go head to head with Dad in a NERF challenge. Open from 3-7pm on Thursday and Friday, and 1-5pm on Saturday, the first hour each day is dedicated to the under 5s. No bookings required.

Grab a Meal at The Southern

Where: The Southern Hotel, 839 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba
When: 7.00am-9.00pm

Spoil the dad in your life by shouting them a meal this Father’s Day at The Southern. There’ll be live entertainment, dad’s favourite sports on the telly, and free face painting and playroom to entertain the little ones. Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, he’ll love sharing a meal with loved ones on his special day. As an added bonus, The Southern has two $100 vouchers up for grabs to anyone that spoils their dad and makes a reservation this Sunday.

Fitzy’s – always good for a party – is hosting free kids painting, live music and their regular lunch menu from 11.30am. Perfect for families with big kids and little kids.

The national phenomenon comes to town this year for a wholesome event, to create the village that raises a child. Starting with coffee, fathers will then get to push their infants and children in their prams whilst socialising with others from our region. Celebrate afterwards with a good old-fashioned barbecue. There’ll be a raffle on offer, with tons of baby gear and other prizes up for grabs.

Treat dad to a fabulous Father’s Day breakfast at DownsSteam Tourist Railway & Museum – home of Great Divide Scenic Railway! Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast of fresh fruit, toast, selection of jams, salad, sausages, muffins, bacon, eggs, tea & coffee. After breakfast, guided tours of the facility will be available to show off the beautifully restored “Pride of Toowoomba” steam locomotive. All funds raised go towards running DownsSteam’s not-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation and the restoration of trains.

Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery Sausage Sizzle

Where: Drayton And Toowoomba Cemetery, Cnr Anzac Avenue and South Street, Toowoomba
When: 9.00am-12.00pm

Head along to the cemetery and enjoy a sausage sizzle to celebrate the memory of dads everywhere. Sunday’s event allows the community to honour their dads and brighten up the cemetery by laying some flowers in a complimentary blue vase. Visitors can also enjoy the pop-up flower market and view the vintage cars on display.

Gym with Dad for Free
