The Toowoomba Grammar Art Show continues to be recognised as one of the city’s signature events, attracting thousands of people across the weekend.
The major fundraiser of the Toowoomba Grammar School P&F, the 2022 show – opening this weekend – contains an impressive lineup of artists from across the nation with work available both in the physical gallery and online from March 25.
The 2021 Art Show produced their highest sales to date with over $190,000 worth of work sold on Opening Night alone! Opening Night attracts guests from the local area and beyond, including significant numbers from interstate. In total, the show sold over $400,000 of art to buyers from across Australia – well over double their previous best. 2022 promises to be just as spectacular!
This year’s feature artist, Aidan Weichard, lives in Gippsland and paints what surrounds him: plenty of animals and nature! Aidan has been painting professionally for the last six years, and is collected throughout the country.
The exhibition opens on Saturday, 26 March at 9.00am until 7.00pm, and then again on Sunday, 27 March from 9.00am until 4.00pm. Door entry is just $5 (and free for children), and there is a café on-site for morning tea.
