Pechey Distillery launches a floral-inspired vodka for spring

Before this, we didn’t even like vodka (that 2011 hangover still haunts). But this is something else entirely – a floral, spicy, and fruity delight that showcases the best of the region and will keep you coming back for more.

Pechey Distilling Co’s Spring Vodka is here to help us all usher in the season with a floral, friuty tipple sure to sweep the winter blues away.

Distilled four times from a base fermented with local yeast, the vodka is distilled as with a gin but with heavily floral and fruit elements – rose, lavender, calendula, cornflower, hibiscus, strawberry gum, cassia, vanilla bean and fig – and then finished with a direct infusion of organic blueberries grown locally at Hampton Blue, honey from the Pechey Homestead’s hives and butterfly pea flower.

If it sounds too pure to be true, it runs at 40% ABV – not a drink to take lightly! During Carnival, Pechey will be hosting Moonshine Schools every day from 20 September to 24 September. Catering for groups of 4-10, you'll begin with a tour of the historic Pechey Homestead gardens in full bloom, taste their floral-infused spirits and enjoy an afternoon tea.

They’ll also be hosting free tastings and purchases at the Toowoomba Farmer's Markets (at Cobb + Co) on Saturdays. The vodka can be bought – along with other drinks in the current range – directly from their website, from their weekly market stall or on-site at the distillery.
