Ortem
This industrial café in the old railway precinct is a local favourite. Known for its inventive, delicious menu, Ortem feels like a community hub. There’s the early morning cyclists, the corporates making deals over lunch, and the mum groups who bring the footpath dining to life.
Ortem feels cosy and warm on rainy days, and the perfect place to kick off the weekend when it’s sunny out. The menu is full of generously portioned meals that always feel a bit special – there’s always an additional ingredient or two to take it to another level. The homemade baked goods and quirky ‘freakshake’ specials make it a family favourite, but it’s also fully licensed. To top it off, there’s a good amount of street parking (although it can fill up on Sundays).
Make sure you play a game of spot the LEGO dudes. You’ll know what we mean when you arrive…
