Heck yeah, the Jacarandas are out!

While November is traditionally Jacaranda season, these beauties have already been blanketing the city in a purple haze for a few weeks now, and we seriously can’t get enough.
Jump in the car and just start driving, or follow our list below to spot some of our faves:

📍 Top Tier: Walk along Mary Street (between Campbell & North) in the afternoon for a colonnade of purple being hit with that magical afternoon glow.

📍 The Big Ones: West, Baker, Ruthven streets (Kearney’s Spring end) all have impressively long streets of Jacarandas flanking each side of the road.

📍 Parks: Newtown Park, Groom Park & Queens Park all have clusters currently in bloom.

🚩 In the ‘Burbs’: Check out Bowell Street (Rangeville), Gleenson Court (North Toowoomba), Fairway Cres (Middle Ridge)

📍 Take a Drive: to Goombungee for the full immersive experience, with pretty much the whole town a sea of purple. Home to the Annual Jacaranda Festival on November 02 the trees are already out in full force. It’s also a great opportunity to take a day-trip and support this local country town.
