The Flower Grocer’s Cherie Zimmerle is showcasing her floristry work as part of an exhibition this September.

Together with abstract artist Jay Feather, the pair has created a contemporary art and floral exhibition. Feather & Flower will show paintings as well as a floral representation of each work.

Cherie spent 25 years as a visual merchandiser before retraining as a florist. Her infinite attention to detail remains, and her studio in the Australian Arcade (photographed) is a joy to visit, full of delightful vintage details and local craftsmanship.

Jay Feather’s work has been acquired all over the world, and her expressive and colourful style references the sea, natural botanical elements and symbols from her day to day life. All works will be available for purchase.

Feather & Flower will be held at Walton Stores from September 17 to 27.
