ABOUT & DESIGN / Nestled in the former dining room of the iconic Clifford House (1865), one of Toowoomba’s most stunning heritage buildings, BellaVino opened in March this year, a celebration of wine and elegance and every bit the personification of owner and host Isobella Barber's own infectiously exhuberant flair.

Inspired by the bars of Buenos Aires and New York, BellaVino's central bar area and two exquisite side rooms (suitable for private groups of 6-8) rival any of the coolest speakeasys and wine bars you'll find in the likes of those cities.

Design-wise, it is an eclectic mix of styles, from the 1950's black and white vinyl in the main bar, renaissance influences to hints of belle epoch, art nouveau and even classic art deco stylings; it shouldnt work, but it does, and gloriously so!

FOOD / Straight from the Gip’s Kitchen expect ‘little bites’ such as Soup Shots, Duck and Cherry Pate with crackers, Lamb Pies, Charcuterie and Cheese boards; delivering all the mouthwatering goodness you would expect given Gip’s status as one of the city’s premier dining locations.

WINE / Wine at BellaVino plays the starring role, with an extensive wine list of 65 (and counting) local, Australian, and international favourites, selected for their interesting and dynamic profiles, and curated to provide guests a rich, and engaging experience (the latest 'growers' champagne from Reims is a perfect example of this). The menu is available for tastings, by the glass, or by the bottle, and for non-wine lovers a variety of beers available by the glass. Adjacent to the bar, a cellar door is currently being installed, with plans for it to be available by July for tastings and cellar-door retailing.

EVENTS / Keep an eye out for regular food and wine events hosted by BellaVino and Gips, like April and May's Italian and French Winemake's Dinners, or the recent wine-paired exhibition opening by artist Catie Davis.
