Hospo veterans serving up authentic Italian from breakfast to dinner
New restaurant Amalfi opens this weekend, serving up delicious fare from breakfast all the way through to your after-dinner digestive.

Opening this weekend, Amalfi is taking over the space formally held by Junk in Walton Stores. This marks the third opening at Walton Stores in two weeks, following Bodega and Fit Former.
Serving breakfasts from 7.30am each day, and continuing right through lunch and dinner until 9.00pm each night, Amalfi’s all-Italian team is hoping to bring some authentic, new flavours to Toowoomba. Forget bacon and eggs, and think sweet pastries with espresso.
The lunch and dinner menu will offer a huge range of deli sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, gnocchi, seafood and meats. A gluten-free pasta option currently exists, with plans to introduce a gluten-free pizza base soon.
The drinks are well and truly covered, starting with Melbourne-roasted, Italian-style coffee. There’s also ginseng coffee, an offering popular in Italy but uncommon in Australia. Think chai without the cinnamon – it’s creamy, nutty and sweet, and definitely worth a try.
The wine list is heavy on Italian and Australian styles, and there’s a large range of simple Italian spirits, including Campari and Aperol. Try the Amalfi Spritz or a limoncello martini.
The new venue is open from 5.30pm on Friday, 10 September and is then open from 7.30am – 9.00pm every day.
