Proof BBQ & Booze

If you’re a fan of American-style barbecue and all things low ‘n’ slow, then Proof is a must for your next dinner night out. With a smoker on-site and craft beers on tap, the venue, which expanded from its flagship Brisbane store in September, has proved to be a carnivore’s delight and drawn well-deserved crowds who queue for a taste of their barbecue meats. Proof also have $15 lunch specials throughout the week, including a pulled pork roll and tasting platter showcasing their popular menu items.

Fit Former

This fitness studio combines the benefits of high-intensity interval training with the low impact, deep toning of reformer pilates. Owned by Candy Browne, a personal trainer of almost fifteen years, locals are able to simply pay as they go on the dedicated app, or purchase a class pack, with classes such as Hot Flow, Mums & Bubs and Beginners.

Amalfi

This new Italian joint has popped up in the popular Walton Store precinct. With breakfast from 7.30am each day, and doors open right through lunch and dinner until 9.00pm each night, Amalfi’s all-Italian team bring authentic flavours to the Toowoomba foodie scene. The restaurant offers a huge range of sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, gnocchi, seafood and meats, made fresh on site.

Bodega

Step through the doors of a seemingly ordinary convenience store and discover Bodega, an eccentric party house that comes alive every weekend. This speakeasy bar is inspired by both New York and Mexican culture, and it’s all about the music and drinks here – cool down with an ice-cold boozey slushie or taste from the Latin inspired cocktail and beer menu. Better yet, there’s live music four nights a week, so you can dance the night away thanks to some homegrown talent.

Mouse Proof

This brewery in North Toowoomba offers over 30 original brews, as well as Witches Falls wines and Pechey Distillery gin. Built inside an old dairy factory, Mouse Proof boasts industrial charm and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The perfect place for a Sunday sesh.
