Where to Celebrate Halloween locally this year
25 October 2022
The end of October means spooky season is finally here and Halloween it seems is spreading...dare we say like a zombie apocalypse.
Long gone it would seem is its questionable past or symbolism, personally our money has always been on some broader conspiracy involving the pumpkin farming community anyway 😉. These days Halloween is a night of satiating sugar cravings, kids and pets dressed in their favourite superhero costume, fake cobwebs, and more or less a general excuse for a dress-up party.
No longer just a seeming Americanism (fun fact: it didn’t actually start in America at all), Halloween is without a doubt on the rise locally. And whether you love it or hate it, a quick look at all the local events popping up is confirmation enough that it’s probably here to stay.
Not a fan?…this one probably isn’t for you I’m afraid. Looking to don your favourite linen sheet this weekend? Well gear up, because there’s plenty of activities to mark the occasion, from parties to facepainting to family activities!
