It’s almost the weekend and between zany crime comedies and grand balllets, britpop concerts, marathons and autumn picnics - there’s something for everyone.

1) LACE UP THE SNEAKERS: and put yourself to the test at the 2024 Toowoomba Marathon. Runners can opt for the 2km (Junior Dash), 5km, 10km, Half Marathon, or go all out and complete the Full 42.195km Marathon. Sun

2) RUNAWAY AND JOIN THE CIRCUS: or watch the professionals to do it, as Weber Bros Circus takes over Queens Park with its 2-hour spectacle of motocross daredevils, acrobatics, and thrilling performances under the big top.  Fri onwards

CATCH SOME THEATRE: with this zany fast-paced whodunnit (think spy-novel cross Monty Python) at this remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps. Fri & Sat

4) BELT OUT YOUR FINEST WONDERWALL: at this night of Indie Britpop, by Britpop heavyweights Cool Britannia (featuring all your favourites from Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Stone Roses, The Wonder Stuff, The Charlatans, Supergrass, The Verve, Happy Mondays & more). Mad for it aye! Sun

5) EXPERIENCE: the beauty and magic of the Grand Kyiv Ballet with their much anticiapted production of the legendary Forest Song & Don Quixote. Sat

6) BRING BACK THE LONG LUNCH: and celebrate Autumn, all while supporting a good cause at the Hope Horizons Autumn Long Luncheon for Hope. Fri

7) MAKE THE MOST OF THE LONG WEEKEND: (our last for a while) and head north to Bunnyconnellen for their Autumn Picnic – complete with live music, food vans and plenty of entertainment. Or, PARTY: into the long weekend at Fitzy’s Sun Daze: Long Weekend Party. Sun

8) FEAST YOUR SENSES: at the Showground with Street Feast, for a night of food trucks, boutique retail stalls & music. Sat

9)  GET YOUR GREEN THUMB READY: and check out all the blooms at the stunning Queensland State Rose Garden (Newtown Park) as part of this weekends Toowoomba Rose Show. Sat & Sun

10) UNLEASH YOUR INNER ARTIST: at this monthly life-drawing Scribblesesh evening. Sun

11) HEAD SOUTH FOR THE DAY: and make the short drive to Allora for ‘Beats, Eats and Beverages’ at the A Day on the Dalrymple Autumn Festival. Enjoy live music, food and drink stalls, markets, carnival rides, roving entertainers and professional sand sculture installations. Sun
