This casual sports bar, a one-of-its-kind to the Toowoomba foodie scene, is the brainchild of sports fanatic Ben Whibley and his partner Naomi. For them, it’s all about fresh food that celebrates regional ingredients.
Feeling hungry? Try a Coney Dog – topped with chilli con carne and cheese – or take on a kilo of buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dressing. If you’re after something on the light-ish side, opt for gooey mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, or a fresh Caesar salad. Wash it down with one of ten crisp beers on tap, then finish the night with a brownie sundae or the house-made pie of the week.
Almost everything on Tailgate’s menu comes in gluten-free and vegan options, so they’re ready to cater for everyone’s needs. So, next time your favourite team is playing, why not head to Tailgate to watch live on the big screen with a side of finger food?
