This local pub is embedded in Toowoomba’s history, established in the 1880s as The Caledonian.

The Fitzgibbons themselves are synonymous with the hotel industry, having been at it for 80 years. Now in their fourth generation, the Fitzys are still going strong, serving up cold drinks and good times seven days a week. The now-modern pub is divided into different spaces, with a sophisticated whiskey bar, casual bar areas, as well as the full-service restaurant and the open-air beer garden.

It’s somehow the sort of place you’d take Mum for lunch, your partner for a quiet drink, and the crew for a big, noisy night out. There’s always something going on at Fitzy’s, and locals know to park out the back on Church Street, instead of trying their luck on Margaret Street. Check out the Tuesday night trivia, the daily menu specials, or live music on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
