If you’re looking for a gift that’s above and beyond, spend some time talking to Cherie at The Flower Grocer. After spending 25 years as a visual merchandiser, Cherie retrained as a florist and her infinite attention to detail remains. Her boutique studio in the Australian Arcade is a joy to visit, full of delightful vintage details and local craftsmanship.

The floristry here is beautiful and unique, but so too is the experience. Cherie spends time with each customer, learning about the recipient, the occasion, the style. Oh, your best friend loves peonies, and her home is sort of ‘Scandi-chic’? Cherie has just the thing. You used to help Gran tend her rose garden? Let’s pay homage to that.

In addition to the bespoke floristry service, Cherie has a range of posies, homemade candles and thoughtful hampers. Featuring the work of local makers, you’ll find The Pamper Hamper (wine, candles, tea, chocolate) and The Gardener’s Hamper (beautiful tools with a handmade rosemary and coffee hand scrub), among an array of beautiful options. And everything is proudly vegan too! You won’t leave empty-handed.
